Rollins Soup and a Story Reading NightRollins Soup and a Story Reading Night

On Thursday, November 16 Rollins parents and students attended “Soup and a Story” during family reading night. The families attended sessions where they had the story Stone Soup read to them in English and Spanish, colored vegetables to be later placed in a huge Rollins pot of Stone Soup, colored book marks with important reading strategies parents can support at home, learned about new and exciting websites in the computer lab, and were able to visit and make purchases at the Scholastic Book Fair.

To culminate the evening, all families watched Ms. Rosado make “Rollins Stone Soup” with the help of the students in the gym. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a warm bowl of Chicken Noodle or Tomato Soup with crackers.

It was a wonderful night for all!
