Fourth Graders Make Their Literacy Growth Visible

Ms,Ramirez's fourth-grade classroom is making learning visible through a  Module Wall that will document students’ literacy progress over three weeks of instruction in the HMH Into Reading program.

Before beginning their first module, students spent a week strengthening their understanding of main idea. That preparation is already making a difference! During the very first lesson of the new module, students successfully read the text, identified the main idea in their own words, and cited evidence showing where they found it.

Throughout the next several weeks, students will continue learning how to identify important details that support the main idea.
